After working in various schools internationally, Alex has brought his extensive knowledge and passion for teaching to St Luke's. Trading in the mountains of Germany for the coastal beaches and relaxed lifestyle of Bundaberg, Alex has been drawn to St Luke's strong sense of community and care.
Situated just 360km north of Brisbane, Bundaberg offers a myriad of natural and cultural amenities for people of all ages.
Bundaberg has one of the very best climates in Australia with an average maximum temperature of 27°C and an average minimum temperature of 16°C. The city is well serviced by road, rail and air.
Bundaberg is known by locals as the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and is close to K'gari, the world’s largest sand island. The region boasts many wonderful beaches and national parks and is a fisherman’s paradise with countless opportunities for boating. Bundaberg's strong agriculture industry has seen the city become one of Queensland's premiere food bowls. Turtle-watching in season, plus many other activities, add highlights to this wonderful region.
