Principal's Reflection - 19 September

I am grateful for the time parents and carers spent providing feedback. It is affirming to see that the things the School is striving to provide for our Community are noticed. Importantly:

• 92% of parents/carers noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the quality of teaching
• 95% of parents/carers noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to balanced education
• 94% of parents/carers noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the facilities and resources
• 97% of parents/carers noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the School’s reputation
• 90% of parents/carers noted their expectations were met or exceeded in relation to the academic standards

Analysis of the open-ended comments identified five areas that parents and carers value highly about the environment the School provides. These aspects also came through very clearly in the recent stakeholder engagement sessions completed by Independent Schools Queensland. They are:

• Sense of community
• Staff support and care
• Christian values and character development
• Quality education and academics
• Wellbeing and student nurturing

Overall, the School is very pleased with the results. There are areas identified by parents and carers that will receive further attention in our future planning. These include the ongoing pursuit of academic excellence, aspects of pastoral care (student wellbeing) and aspects of co- and extra-curricular activities.
